CABARROGUIS, Quirino — Delano Domingo Jr., the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President of Itawes National High School (INHS), the Municipal Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (MFSSLG) President of Tuao, and the Vice President of the Division Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Cagayan, took part and showcased his dedication to student leadership on June 5-6 during the Regional Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (RFSSLG) Cum Leadership Development Training Program held at the Quirino Watersports Complex Pavilion, Capital Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino.
‎On the first day of the leadership development training program, Domingo engaged in team-building exercises and attended a mental health session aimed at promoting emotional wellness among student leaders.
‎During the second day of the same activity, Domingo contributed to workshops on crafting a General Plan of Action (GPOA) and making a project proposal, enhancing his skills in strategic planning and project development.
‎In addition, Domingo collaborated closely with fellow Cagayano officers who accompanied him, namely DFSSLG President Joomong B. Lee, and DFSSLG Secretary Jeliza Kai F. Cauilan, together with Project Development Officers Jeann T. Carinugan, Loueilla O. Bauat, and Zharmaine B. Baccay where they represented Cagayan with enthusiasm, further strengthening their teamwork and leadership capacity.
‎Domingo also enjoyed the socialization night, bonding with other student leaders from Region II—except for Batanes, which participated online— through dancing, food trips, and karaoke, which fostered camaraderie and unity.
‎Furthermore, Domingo’s initiative and team spirit helped the Cagayan delegation win 2nd Best Yell among eight divisions in a lively cheer competition, with Santiago taking first place.
‎Throughout the training, Domingo demonstrated dedication, responsibility, and a commitment to serve his fellow learners with integrity and compassion.
‎Moreover, Domingo expressed appreciation for the valuable lessons and experiences gained, which he plans to apply in his leadership roles back home.
‎"Sobrang nakakataba ng puso to be part of the event. It was actually my first time joining such an activity, and I'm really grateful for the opportunity. The lessons, experiences, and camaraderie I gained during the two-day activity are definitely worth treasuring," he said during an online interview with a campus journalist.
‎Meanwhile, Domingo’s participation in the RFSSLG training significantly enhanced his leadership skills and prepared him to lead effectively the organizations he leads in the coming school year.
